Well, well well.  My husband has been nice enough to comment on this incident, so I might as well tell my side of the story.  I was coming out of tennis practice, took a shower and was looking like total crap. I play at night, while Hakan puts Daniel to sleep, so it’s a good idea to shower before coming home.  But I’m really, ready to just change into my pijamas and go to bed. Anyway, I was walking towards my car when I heard…"Peru" and I just looked back *automatically and said "no, Mexico" (that’s where I come from, not the first time this happens…..).  This guy asked some questions about the tennis courts, which I honestly couldn’t answer, so I kept on going.  But then I saw about 3 and then a 4th guy, they were all very nice and talkative, which took me by surprise here in Sweden.  I got curious, so the last one wanted to make some conversation, and I wanted to know where they were from and what they were doing there??? Anyway, he starts talking about all these cities in Mexico he has traveled to etc.  All of a sudden I start missing my country, every time he says a city I go back to which tennis tournaments I played there and the restaurants and sightseeing there.  It’s all a very nice trip down to memory lane, until he asks, "let’s have a drink", as usual I say, "sure, why not?"…. They are visiting from Italy and they don’t know anyone, but would love to get some tips.  I, myself, thinking that since I’ve been in that place before, well is just polite to contribute to a traveller.  So I start giving my number, but then I think…. well, what if there is something else??? so I tell him that I am married and that I have a kid.  His reply and all 3 other guys that were listening was all "What???? really???? but you look 21!!!!!"  (honestly, this must have tipped me off).  I keep on saying… "really, I’m a lot more than 21, but thank you…"  "all of a sudden I’m aware of my smile, I don’t want it to be too big since it will show my wrinkles, but I also can’t help it…. it was flattering!!".  Obviously they know what they are doing, and given that I have been out of the loop for so long… well, I fell for it.  I gave out my Real Number and everything.  I left the place, as I was driving I was regretting to give out my number, and hoping that they would never call .  However, thinking to myself that it wouldn’t be so bad to just have a drink with someone new.

So it’s true I did give out my number.  I have to say I have not felt like an attractive woman in a long time, and it was flattering. But to be honest, I think that the italian approach is a bit too aggresive.  He called straight away, he started calling me, "my love… and so on" WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THAT??? I actually got upset.  The second time he called I was very busy with Daniel and I was rude and hung up.  I missed my friends at home, but this guy was absolutely nuts!!! he couldn’t really be a friend, at least not like the ones I would like to have here.
