So, we finally went to the doctor today.  We had been struggling a bit with this issue since the beginning of this year.  Daniel has sensitive skin and he got some areas with very dry skin.  We didn’t know if it was food causing or climate or what? but we have been eliminating possible causes one by one.  Today we went to get an allergy test, they check on the skin for various things, and it seems like he is not allergic to egg, soya, fish, nutmeg, or anything else they tested on.  His skin is already much better and his stomach is also much better than a month ago, so I think he will just grow out of these symptoms, little by little I will reintroduce his food, so far so good.

Well today I didn’t make it on time to the little school, as I like to call it, so I went for a walk in the little forest behind our house instead, Daniel fell asleep in the stroller and after feeding him I went to the gym. On my way back I stopped at the Thai restaurant that I normally like to go to. Daniel is now in the phase where he eats everything that is on my plate, so as much as I am like Joey, from friends where I don’t like to share food I end up giving up a good portion of it to the little one. Although today it was all worth it, finally after I was almost giving up on trying to teach him how to eat by letting him observe me, he took the fork and literally fed himself the chiken and the rice, without making a big mess!!! I was astonished, I gave him his fruit as well, left it on a bowl in front of him and went to get some water, when I came back he was also digging on his bowl!!! It was great to see. A big milestone in the EATING DEPARTMENT. It’s amazing how all of a sudden they make such an accomplishment, he obviously has yet to get where he is just eating one bite after another, but just the fact that he gets it in his mouth with some control is really good.

Hoy por primera vez despues de que he jugado y cantado veinte veces mostrándole las partes de su cuerpo y señalándolas, finalmente él me respondió señalándome su cabeza. Bueno pues mi paciencia de repente recobró pilas para seguir con el jueguito. Mi mamá me ha dado otras ideas de como jugar con él, y a pesar de que parece ser que toman mucho tiempo voy a hacer lo posible por integrarlas en nuestra rutina.

Despues de tanto dar lata a mi marido que me hiciera el favor de buscar un lugar que me sirviera como un diario para mi y para compartirlo con mis amigos, finalmente hoy estreno este blog. Hoy hemos hecho muchas cosas productivas en principio se dieron gracias a un nuevo juguete que encontramos para Daniel. Daniel desde hace un par de semanas ha desarrollado una fascinación con los varios electrodomésticos en la casa, especialmente la aspiradora. No hay momento que no pase por el closet donde la guardo y no deje de hacer drama para que la saque y aspire un poco por la casa. Mi casa nunca había estado tan limpia. En fin, una amiga me comentó que su hijo era igual y que la aspiradora de juguete habíaa sido el mejor juguete que había comprado. Asi es de que ayer fui a comprarla y efectivamente fue todo un hit desde que la vio en el aparador. No la queria dejar ni para pagarla, y todo el dia ha estado aspirando con ella toda la casa.
